Tension is constructed as an organism becoming and creating a space where three dimensions are entangled and bound together in an inseparable way; a trio consisting of body, gaze and light.
In this triangular mechanism, the body is present as matter and image, the gaze operates by using the camera which observes the body illuminated by the light, and the space within which the body operates. These three basic components intermingle, multiply and are cloned by the video feedback. This is a central element in the performance, it sums up the tensions into a mysterious and intimate world of imagery which swings between the glitter of show biz and abstract landscapes, between the culture and the metaphysical being. The present human identity converges inside the body contours and is stored there or shatters from within and is abstracted until nothing of the body remains.
In this system of conditions, the living body goes through a series of transformative journeys by the virtuose performance of the creator Yael Weiss. The body comes into being as matter, is dismantled and emptied, recharged and fills up again with vitality and imagery.
