Achinoam Mendelson
Born in 1992 in Tel Aviv, Achinoam Mendelson is a multidisciplinary artist, theater director, musician and performer. She creates performance and theater shows, video art, and also works as a performer, violinist and dramaturg for several independent Israeli artists. Her works were presented at the “Hanut31” Theater, The Israel Museum, “Hazira” Theater, “Habait” Theater and more. She is a member of the “Quantum Choir” ensemble that performed in various museums and theaters in Israel.
While serving in the military service as an “Excellency Musician” (violinist), Mendelson performed with the Tel-Aviv Academy Orchestra and went on a tour in Israel, Germany and Brazil, under the baton of maestro Zubin Metah among others.
She has a degree in philosophy and liberal arts from the “Shalem College” (2017), during which she founded the college’s choir.
In addition, she has a degree in visual art creation from the “School of Visual Theater” (2021).
In 2022, her show “I Love You Special” received the awards of “Best Director” and “Best Show” at the “Akko International Fringe Theater Festival”.
In 2023 she created and curated a series of performance events that took place in Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv.
